Something that I've really noticed since moving to El Paso is just how different Easter is depending on where you're from. For me, growing up in Portland, OR as a non-religious family, Easter was about coloring hard boiled eggs the night before. Then getting an Easter basket on Easter morning and then hunting for the hidden eggs. It eventually got to the point my sister and I would hide the Easter eggs and my parents would look for them.
Here in the Borderland, Easter has taken on a much more religious aspect. For myself, even more so because I married into a Catholic family. Yeah, Easter is kind of a big deal for them. I also learned about cascarones. Here is a video of Joanna showing Buzz how to make cascarones.
We also have a video of cascarones revenge in the office.
'Mini-Buzz' was Scott, our former digital managing editor, and he taught us about "pocking".
