Take One Improv to Perform at Lubbock’s Hub City Comic Con
Lubbock's Hub City Comic Con is bursting at the seams with celebrity guests and events. And now we can announce that it's bringing the funny, too!
From Hub City Comic Con:
Take One is an improv troupe with shows featuring unique and energetic games that seek to find the funny in fandom. It’s like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” if the cast was made up of your favorite video game characters, animes, and a pop culture references, all hosted by a meme. Take One players quickly make each show a celebration of weirdness and absurdity with audience-engaging games, and extensive nerd-knowledge.
It is this type of diverse and frenetic play that has allowed Take One Improv to grow from doing free local shows to being booked to pack rooms at conventions nationwide, as well as foster a loyal fan base that is as enthusiastic and quirky as the members of Take One, themselves.
Hub City Comic Con happens August 24-26, 2018. Take One Improv will be performing multiple shows, including Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and an 18+ MCM Elegante After Party on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Take One Improv is the fourth celebrity guest we've announced for this year's Hub City Comic Con. First, it was Overwatch voice actor Carolina Ravassa. Then, we let y'all know the Red Power Ranger, Steve Cardenas, would be coming to Lubbock. And most recently, we broke the news that legendary wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T will be at the show.
