The shoes have been altered with red ink, a bible verse stitched on the side (Luke 10:18), a pentagram emblem & one drop of human blood.

Nike is bringing back a classic shoe from the sports world when they collaborated with tennis phenom Andre Agassi in 1988. The Nike Air Tech Challenge II "Clay Blue" was created by legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield who also made the Air Jordan shoes.

It's no secret that hip-hop influences fashion. The same way we made due with what we had to make music we've also put a very distinct spin on ordinary items turning them into status symbols. This explains how an affordable piece of footwear became cultural capital once the companies began to pay attention to the hood.

Every February, Nike celebrates the importance of Black History Month with a large collection of sneakers and apparel. Next month, The sneaker giant will pay tribute to its brand ambassadors and their dedication to succeeding in sports.

A sports radio friend of mine turned me onto this little gem. Its' a few months old but it really gets me ready for the commercials that always seem to make the SuperBowl experience what it is.
