We reported last week on what could have been the end of JCPenney in South Plains Mall. Well, there's some good news: the Lubbock store has been spared...for now.

First, it was Kmart. Then, RadioShack announced it had filed for bankruptcy and will be closing stores. Next on the chopping block: JCPenney.
