In a development likely to give Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan some sense of relief, Universal has officially decided to shoot Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed back to back, giving its actors a chance to fulfill their commitments to the troubled franchise in one fell swoop. In addition, the studio has confirmed James Foley to direct both sequels, with author E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard adapting both stories for the big screen.

Marcia Gay Harden is to play Christian Grey's mom in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. The actress will star as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, who adopts Christian (Jamie Dornan) when his birth mother dies. Harden, who stars on HBO's The Newsroom and ABC's Trophy Wife, played opposite Tim Robbins in the Academy Award winning movie “Mystic River”.
The “Fifty Shades of Grey” series has sold more than 70 million copies world wide so it’s no surprise that women around the world are anxiously awaiting the movie. Back in September producers cast Charlie Hunam and Dakota Johnson in the lead roles which was a shock to many fans of the trilogy.
Irish actor Jamie Dornan is set to take over for Charlie Hunnam in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. After Charlie dropped out of the film a few weeks ago the producers were working quickly to find his replacement especially since the movie is set to start filming in less than two weeks.
