Early voting has been down across the State of Texas since voting began on October 24. That includes here in Lubbock County where numbers continue to be lower than they were in 2018.

Just over 19,600 people participated in Early Voting for the Texas Primary Elections in Lubbock County. Election Day is Tuesday, March 1 with polls open 7am-7pm
While Texas and Lubbock have historically voted Republican, there’s evidence the 2020 Presidential Election could come down to the wire amid a record number of early votes.
Texas currently leads the U.S. in early voter turnout in the 2020 General Election, and early votes look to eclipse early voting totals of the 2016 election.
