Sweet New Mobile App Will Have a Security Guard “Walk” Home With You

There's a new smart phone app that is another brilliant idea, if you ask me. The company is called StreetSafe, and so is the app. With this security app you have 2 options.

1) Silent Alarm is just like it sounds. In case you can't call 911 you just slide the button on the app and it uses your GPS location to alert local police to you and your possible situation.

2) This one is the real genius idea, I think. It's called "Walk With Me" and according to their website  "Imagine walking alone, or in an uncomfortable environment, but nothing has happened, so you can't call 911. Walk with Me connects the user to a live Safety Advisor who will stay on the phone with you and keep you alert until you get to your destination safely".

That way even if you just need some reassurance that you can make it home safe, you'll have a live security expert on the phone with you all the way home. And in case anything does happen they're already on the phone and will get police to you asap.

So whether you're walking back to the dorms or your apartment from the bars on Main Street and Broadway, or just walking across campus, now you can feel and be safe walking at night.
