Lubbock Police have revealed more information concerning a shooting that happened at a Lubbock apartment complex the morning of Saturday, July 24th.

The day before, it's said that the victim, Joshua Aguilar, came home to his apartment in the 2600 block of Milwaukee Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. and found the back door kicked in. This was confirmed by Aguilar's girlfriend, who was there at the time. KAMC News reports that neither called police, but they did call a family friend to help fix the door.

At some point, a suspect knocked on the front door. Aguilar confronted the suspect, but they go into a car with 2 other suspects and left.

Later on in the night, Aguilar's girlfriend heard someone trying to kick in the front door. Aguilar was confronted by the same 3 suspects, but they fled again.

Then, at around 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning, Aguilar heard the suspects trying to break down the door again. When he went to confront them, they opened fire.

Officers with the Lubbock Police Department arrived on scene to find Aguilar with multiple wounds in his stomach. He was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries, but has since been said to have been in stable condition.

So far, no arrests have been made, nor have the identities of the suspects been revealed.
