Suspect Leads Police on Chase From Littlefield to Shallowater

One suspect was arrested on Sunday, September 29th after leading police on a chase from Littlefield to Shallowater.

It all started when Littlefield Police Officers recognized the suspect, 37-year-old Francisco Martinez, getting into his burgundy 2010 Toyota Corolla. Martinez then led officers on a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.

The chase eventually ended in Shallowater just east of FM 179 where a Department of Public Safety Trooper deployed a spike strip.

KAMC News reports that Martinez was arrested after he stopped around a mile down the road from the strip.

He was transported back to Littlefield where he was booked into the Lamb County Jail on the charges for the pursuit as well as a parole violation.
