Gas Prices Predicted to Be Lowest in 10 Years This Summer
Road trip! Summer 2015 could be the perfect year to go on that cross-Texas excursion.
Gas Buddy petro experts have issued a report showing that national gas prices should average $2.35 to $2.45 over the summer. With current trends in mind, Lubbock and Texas prices in general could be well below that.
All said, we may well see prices below the $2 mark over the months of June, July and August. However, don't expect Hub City prices to average below that mark for any long period of time.
We've got a big state with some great places to discover within a days drive. Never been to South Padre, San Antonio, Schlitterbahan or the Houston Space Center? Have relatives in the Big D or the Old Texas Town of El Paso who you haven't seen in years This looks like the summer to go!
Based on last year's prices, expect to save roughly $50 this year on that big Texas road trip.
