Spend 10 Percent of Your Stimmy On This and Save Countless Lives
Hopefully by now you've received your $600 stimulus check, unless you're too wealthy to get one, in which case:
How you spend your money is entirely up to you. I yeeted my precious into the depths of Mordor, AKA credit card bills. But if you want to save countless lives, may I suggest spending just 1/10 of your stimmy on your pet? That is, if they haven't already been spayed or neutered. You weren't expecting me to Bob Barker you, but here we are.
P.E.T.S. (Preventing Euthanasia Through Sterilization) Clinic of Lubbock is a non-profit spay/neuter clinic that performs spay and neuters on dogs for $60, including pain medication. Cats are even less expensive. They also offer low-cost vaccinations and heartworm medicine. You can see their menu of services here.
Each day, 70,000 puppies and kitties are born in the U.S. alone, resulting in millions of them being euthanized each year. It's an easily preventable tragedy and we should all do our part to end what is no less than a slaughter.
Did you know one unspayed momma cat can result in the birth of two million cats over eight years? While that's a bit of an outlier, it's entirely possible and frightening. So yes, one cat or one dog being sterilized can make a tremendous difference.
Is your pet already fixed? Fantastic! P.E.T.S. Clinic takes donations to continue their amazing mission, so if you're feeling generous you can always donate to our clinic, and funds donated in Lubbock stay in Lubbock.
There are lots of other places to check out for spays and neuters in the Hub City, too, including: The Veterinary Clinic of Lubbock, the Animal Hospital of Lubbock, Hub City Veterinary Clinic and last but not least, City of Lubbock Animal Services. Hit up Google to find the best one for your family.
