Shocking News: Lubbock’s Oriental Food Express is Currently Closed

Now, this is not a place you see every day: a restaurant in Lubbock that serves things like donuts and kolaches in the morning, and seafood and Chinese food during the day.

But man, does it work and it’s so good. If you’ve never been to Donut House N Oriental Food Express, you’re definitely missing out.

They opened back at the beginning of 2021 and I actually got to visit with them and try their food. The owners were so nice and everything I tried was homemade and amazing.

They moved to Lubbock from California and started with a donut shop. Later, it expanded into a restaurant. They offered huge portions of food and amazing customer service.

When I showed up to their restaurant on July 26th, 2022 to find a sign on their door and they were moving I panicked about them closing for good due to this sign:

Then I really panicked. But they told me they’re just moving locations. They were located at 6309 66th Street Suite 950, and are now moving over off of 19th Street and Martin L King Blvd.

While I haven’t seen any information online or anywhere about them closing, I was very shocked to find this news and had to share it with everyone.

Keep up to date on their Facebook page to know when they will be opening back up. Hopefully, it will be very soon. Like I said earlier, if you’ve never been there, definitely change that when they reopen.
