Shallowater High School Assistant Principal Arrested for DWI

A Shallowater High School employee was arrested this weekend for driving while intoxicated.

According to KCBD, Assistant Principal Rian Freeman was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center over the weekend. Freeman posted bond and was released. He's since been placed on administrative leave.

Shallowater ISD released the following statement following Freeman's arrest:

As a result of it being an ongoing investigation and a personal matter, that is all of the information that Shallowater ISD can provide at this time.
