Reese Witherspoon Pleads Guilty and Arrest Video Released
Smile Reese Witherspoon you’re on camera! The dash cam from the Reese and her husbands arresting police officer has emerged on the Internet. In the video from the arrest last month in Atlanta Reese drops some classic lines such as, "I'm a U.S. citizen. I am allowed to stand on American ground and ask any question I want to ask." . . . and "I'm obstructing your justice? Really? I'm being anti-American? Wow . . . interesting." You can see the complete video below.
In the meantime, Reese appeared on "Good Morning America" yesterday and spoke about the arrest. She said they went out to dinner and had, quote, "one too many glasses of wine." As for the crazy stuff she said, Reese explained that she panicked when she saw her husband being arrested. She even lied and told the cop she was pregnant. She did say however that her and her husband are “embarrassed” by the situation and take full responsibility. She said the worst part of the whole ordeal was having to tell her kids. You can see the interview from GMA below.
While Reese was busy in New York her attorney was in court in Atlanta yesterday entering a plea for the star. She entered a plea of no contest for disorderly conduct. All she has to do is pay a $213 fine. Her husband Jim also pleaded guilty to DUI, and he'll get 40 hours of community service. He also has to attend an alcohol education program and he gets 12 months of probation.
