Perryton Wildfire Is the Third Largest in Texas History
Wildfires have blazed across the Panhandle since Monday, March 6th. Two of the three fires have been fully contained with one at 75 percent containment, but the damage is widespread.

The Perryton fire, which is currently at 75 percent containment, has claimed 318,056 acres of land, making it the third largest fire in the history of the Texas A&M Forest Service.
The fire is located in Ochiltree, Hemphill and Lipscomb, Roberts Counties in the Texas Panhandle and in part of Oklahoma.
