Pumpkin Trail Celebrates Its 10th Year With Goal of 2,000 Carved Pumpkins
In the last 10 years, Lubbock's Pumpkin Trail has become a Halloween institution. It's so awesome to see so many carved pumpkins together both in the daytime and especially lit up at night.
Last year the pumpkin trail had a whooping 1,769 carved pumpkins and for their 10th year they want to go BIG, with a goal of 2,000 carved pumpkins donated by the community. This event is made by us, for us, and I think that's really beautiful.
If you would like to donate a carved pumpkin, call Stephanie Brady at Hodges Community Center, (806) 767-3706, in advance to let her know how many pumpkins you are bringing so she can keep a goal count.
Groups that bring ten or more pumpkins get a sign with your name or logo on it (it's a great group activity for your business, hobby group, etc). There's also display groups and sponsorships available, head over to the website for complete details.
Complete details on times the pumpkin trail will be open, volunteer opportunities and more are available at the Parks and Rec website.
