Power Outage Planned for Downtown Lubbock Sunday, August 25

According to the City of Lubbock, a planned power outage will take place starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 25th.

KAMC News reports that the purpose of the outage is to make upgrades to equipment. The outage is planned to last about 6 hours.

Lubbock Power & Light says that the outage will only affect a small number of businesses, and that all business that will be affected have already been contacted.

Citizens are advised to use caution when traveling through downtown Lubbock during the duration of the outage.
