Police in Austin Search for Cobra That May Have Killed Man

Eighteen-year-old Grant Thompson was found in a Kia Soul parking lot with puncture wounds on his wrist.

KXAN reports that authorities believe Thompson owned a monocled cobra snake. They also believe the snake had bitten him, which led to his death.

The report says first responders found Thompson in the parking lot and that the snake is still on the loose.

Monocled cobras are commonly found in India and southeast Asia.
