Patrick Mahomes Takes Home NFL Offensive Player of the Week Award
Wednesday afternoon, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and former Texas Tech superstar Patrick Mahomes was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against the Oakland Raiders.
Mahomes finished the game 30-44, with 443 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. However, everyone was talking about what Mahomes did in the second quarter.
In the second quarter, he was 12 of 17 for 278 yards, 4 touchdowns and no picks. He led touchdown drives of 72, 95, 94 and 39 yards, finishing them with touchdown throws of 44, 42, 27 and 39 yards. That's pretty efficient.
Next up for the Chiefs, they take on the explosive offense of Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday (September 22nd) at 12 p.m., which you can hear right here on Talk 1340.
