Patrick Mahomes Sets Another NFL Record in Third Start for the Chiefs
Former Texas Tech quarterback and future NFL Hall of Famer Patrick Mahomes continues to shatter records and expectations.
Mahomes snapped a three-game NFL record previously held by Peyton Manning for most touchdown passes. He notched 13 TDs during the Chiefs' 38-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers Sunday afternoon. Manning's record was 12.
Mahomes, who the Chiefs drafted 10th overall in 2017 from Texas Tech University, has taken the NFL by storm since taking over as starting quarterback this season. But he still remembers where he came from. Mahomes continues to follow his alma mater's football team, most recently congratulating the Red Raiders' true freshman quarterback Alan Bowman on breaking a record Mahomes himself previously held.
