One Dead in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash North of Snyder

Texas DPS are reporting a two-vehicle crash which occurred on Friday morning (Oct. 12) that killed one person.

The crash happened 9 miles north of Snyder along US 84. KAMC News reports 19 year-old Tristan Towns was traveling north on the highway when he veered onto the shoulder, over-corrected and crossed the median, then collided with a semi-truck traveling south. Towns was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi was taken to Cogdell Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and was later released.
