Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has brought in $90.2 million already, and Disney seems optimistic that it will continue to do well in coming weeks. To be honest, I was, and still am a little sceptical about pushing the series beyond a trilogy. Keira Knightley and Orlanda Bloom jumped ship after all, and it seemed like Disney just wanted to milk all the cash out of the franchise before letting it go. However, Depp has insisted that he only signed on because he felt that the script was adding something new to "Pirates" and not just dragging it out, and he has already stated that the same would have to be true for him to do another instalment. They've already pushed past a trilogy, and Johnny Depp is already mentioning the possibility of a fifth movie in interviews, and Disney is working on a script to offer, so I think die hard POTC fans can sleep soundly knowing that there will be at least one more coming after this one, probably more if they keep doing well in the box office. I haven't gotten out to see this one yet, but I've been hearing good things, so I'll probably get around to it soon. Until then, leave a comment and let me know what you think. If you've seen it, was it good? Is Johnny Depp selling out going beyond "At Worlds End"? Would you like to see more "Pirates" movies to come?
