Whether you're for or against gay marriage, it is definitely one of the big issues of our time. Now Morgan Freeman has thrown his support for gay marriage in by narrating a pro-marriage video.

This issue is huge by all standards in today's times. Whichever side of the issue you find yourself on, let me just say that it is not the place of the Constitution to deny rights to anybody for any reason. In most instances of major issues, whenever it has been used to deny someone's rights, that has always been overturned. That is because the Constitution is used ONLY to grant rights to American citizens, not deny them. Just as a few examples, slavery, prohibition, civil rights, women's suffrage, the 2nd amendment, the list goes on as long as the document does.

The only time the constitution is used to limit anyone for any reason, is in limiting the Government from using its power to over-reach into the lives of the citizens.
