5000 Residents of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Set Lip Sync Record [VIDEO]

In January, a website called MainStreet.com named Grand Rapids, Michigan, one of the top ten "dying cities" in America.  In response, 5,000 residents helped make the longest, most elaborate lip sync video ever made. It's done to a live version of the DON MCLEAN song "American Pie", and features fire trucks, a marching band, a wedding, a bridge with flames shooting off of it, and a helicopter ride. Most of the downtown area had to be blocked off so they could film it.

I thought it was pretty awesome that 5000 people actually showed up and all got along! Not one shooting, stabbing or racial beating. WTG Michigan.
