Lubbock’s The Garden Is Reopening in Time for St. Patrick’s Day
Lubbock's The Garden (1801 Buddy Holly) closed permanently in January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic...or did they?
Luckily for all of us, The Garden has decided to reopen, and just in time for St. Patrick's day. The news was announced oh-so-quietly with a Facebook event:
St. Patti's Day reopening of The Garden. Live music, great specials, and great outdoor atmosphere!*Doors open at 4pm
*Highwater Revival takes the stage at 7pm
*$4 Jameson, Deep Eddy, Fireball, and Rumple all day and night
*No Cover
$4 Jameson? Now that's something to celebrate.
I'm deeply relieved to see The Garden is back in business. From live music to, I kid you not, goat yoga, it's an amazingly fun outdoor venue that's unique in Lubbock. (See what I did with kid there? Cuz a 'kid' is a baby goat. Um, anyway...)
I hope that The Garden brings back my favorite drinks; the frozen Jack and Coke was so delicious and their Bloody Marys were top-notch. Not to mention the extensive selection of craft beers and the easy access to yummy food truck food.
As we learn more about The Garden's reopening, we promise to keep you updated. In the meantime, I'm thrilled that The Garden has sprouted back up in time for springtime in Lubbock. Cheers to the return of live music. I'm not exaggerating when I say my soul desperately needs some and soon. Cheers to the return of pre-gaming the big game. And cheers to just seeing your friends in person, which I've learned is the greatest joy of all.
Welcome back, The Garden. We love you and we missed you so.
