I've been waiting for Aloha BBQ to open back up. The staff took some time off for summer vacation, and that's totally understandable. Have you ever seen how dang long the line there gets? Those folks work their butts off to keep up with demand, and they definitely deserved a relaxing summer vacation.

But...

It was recently brought to my attention that they posted a sign on their front door indicating that they'll be closed for even longer than we anticipated.

The sign reads "Dear customers, due to equipment malfunction, maintenance repairs will take 3-4 weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you! 10/1/22"

Oh no! Say it ain't so! I'm going to have to go even longer without my favorite food in town. *cries*

It's honestly probably for the best. I'm on a diet right now. I know from experience that their enormous portion sizes are a slippery slope for me. I'll eat part of my food, put the take-out box in the fridge, swear on everything that I won't touch it until tomorrow, and then find myself, minutes later, shoveling macaroni salad into my mouth while standing over the kitchen sink.

I can't help it. It's just way too good.

If you haven't ever grabbed dinner from them, I highly recommend doing so as soon as they open back up. I know the lines are crazy long, the place may not look like much, and there isn't a lot of space to eat inside the actual restaurant, but I promise you won't be disappointed. It's unreal. I have no idea how they do it, but they've never done me wrong.

Here's hoping that the repairs at Aloha BBQ are made swiftly. BBQ mixed plate 4 life!
