Lubbock Woman Now Charged with Capital Murder
A Lubbock woman has received an upgraded charge of Capital Murder in connection to a death in East Lubbock.
In addition to the Capital Murder charge, 49 year-old Leticia Denise Smith, has also been charged with Assault and Resisting Arrest.
On Sunday morning, March 8, Lubbock Police were called out to a home in the 3300 block of East 16th Street. That’s where they found the body of 79 year-old Wanda Porter. The specific cause of Porter’s death hasn’t been released.
Meanwhile, bonds totaling over $361,000 dollars have been issued against Smith after she was arraigned on Monday.
