Lubbock Resident Explains International Bagpipe Day [Video]

I ran up the street for lunch today to fill up my car with gas. You just never know what you'll find at a gas pump in Lubbock. In this case: a man in full Scottish attire.

I pulled in and found, much to my delight, Edson Way, an Episcopal priest in Lubbock dressed in full kilt attire.

I asked him if I could take a picture and he informed me that today is International Bagpipe Day, which was started in London, England 12 years ago. Way had just come from a bagpipe concert at Texas Tech University.

This is just another reason why I absolutely love living in West Texas. It's NEVER boring!
