Lubbock Police Cadet Arrested in Levelland

A Lubbock Police Department cadet has been arrested in Levelland for driving drunk and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Chancelar Brown was arrested Sunday, December 21, 2015, by Levelland police. The following morning the cadet resigned from the Lubbock Police Academy.

In a statement, Lubbock Chief of Police Greg Stevens said, “I greatly appreciate the efforts of the Levelland Police Department in suppressing drunk driving and in holding any and every one accountable for such dangerous conduct, regardless of their position.”

More details were not immediately made available. A lawyer has not been listed for Brown.
