Lubbock PD Pays Tribute to Retired K9 Jax, Who Recently Passed Away
Jax, in addition to being an extremely handsome boy, was also a retired K9 officer for the Lubbock Police Department. He recently passed away, and the LPD paid a loving tribute to him.
From the LPD Facebook page:
We have some sad news to share with you today.
Earlier this week, retired K9 Jax passed away.
Jax was with the Lubbock Police Department from 2010 to 2014 when he retired due to joint related issues. While Jax was at the LPD, he was handled by Officer Everette Stamps. Their bond was so strong that Jax made the transition from 'Partner' to 'Pet' and lived out the next six years with Officer Stamps at his home.
Jax helped save countless lives during his time serving the Lubbock community.
Thank you for your service, Jax.
Jax was certainly a good boy. I wish I could have met him (without having to commit a crime, of course).
