The Lubbock Meals On Wheels team hosts an annual Mardi Gras party and fundraiser that is one of the best times you can have for charity. And the party is tonight!

The party is going down at the Civic Center and kicks off at 5:30. It says it goes until 9 but I bet this party lasts a little longer. There are 37 restaurant booths from the top restaurants in Lubbock, a silent auction, cash bar, live jazz music, masks, beads and a ton more!

Read the official statement about the party cause it sounds like a blast:

"Lubbock Meals on Wheels' signature event features fare of Lubbock's finest restaurants, live jazz music, a large silent auction, and various performers and activities. This spectacular event includes thirty-eight food booths (with selections from your favorite local restaurants), live jazz music by the Shinn/Turner Dixieland Band, a large silent auction (with items from various local merchants), cash bars, plus a variety of activities and entertainers. A King and Queen in full regal attire and colorful masks and beads are available to make the evening even more festive. Everyone enjoys entertainment such as dancers, clowns, magicians, jugglers and flamboyant decorations in the official colors of purple, green, and gold. The expanded Children’s Area includes bouncers, face and hair painting, and several games and activities to keep the kids entertained. A benefit drawing for a fantastic trip, airline tickets, or sporting event tickets is usually available as well. Be sure to check out the French Market to take home some fabulous treasures such as trendy shirts, fragrances, jewelry, and eyewear.      For more information, please call Lubbock Meals on Wheels at 792-7971."
