Lubbock police and EMS responded to an accident Wednesday night that occurred near railroad tracks on north Milwaukee Avenue, just south of County Road 6200.

According to KAMC News, a van broke down on or near the railroad tracks at around 7:30 p.m. The male driver of the van was trying to jump start the van using his girlfriend’s car that she parked in front of the van.

Then, another vehicle hit the back of the van, pinning the man between the van and his girlfriend's car and seriously injuring him. The man was taken to a local hospital and, as of Wednesday night, was reported to be in critical condition.
