Lubbock Fire Department Welcomes New Firefighters
A class of new recruits has officially joined the Lubbock Fire Department. The 10 firefighters received their badges on Friday.
The new firefighters are: Blake Thrash, Jason Jaquess, Mario Parras, Dillion Shaw, Joshua Burkett, Kaleb Pounds, Evan Foxworth, Tyler Fairchild, Stephen Marquez & Carlos Blanco.
The 10 completed their six weeks of recruit orientation this week. Nine of the 10 firefighters will start sixteen weeks of EMT-Intermediate Level training next Monday. The tenth recruit is already an EMT and start regular firefighter duty on Saturday.
