Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Deadly Accidental Shooting
The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the teenage killed in an accidental shooting on Tuesday.
Thirteen-year-old Dominic Mejia died at a local hospital after being shot in the head. He was shot in the 3500 block of County Road 6000.
The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office immediately characterized the shooting as accidental, and said it involved two juveniles.
KAMC News reports that a Facebook fundraiser has been started for Mejia's funeral expenses.
No other information about the shooting has been released, and the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the circumstances.
