It's almost time to celebrate the red, white, and blue. Independence Day weekend is coming up and it will be a weekend full of celebrations and after last year's pandemic shutdown all public celebrations, we are all ready to celebrate this year.

In Lubbock County alone there are plenty of celebrations taking place this year. Buffalo Springs Lake will host a firework show on Friday, July 2. Tickets are available for purchase through July 1 at the Buffalo Springs Lake Office which is open 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets for adults are $15 and $10 for kids.

There are also plenty of areas to catch the Buffalo Springs Lake show outside of Buffalo Springs Lake if you aren't able to get tickets.

4th on Broadway returns this year in Lubbock with a whole new parade route. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Ave. M and Broadway and head east on Broadway then turn north on Canyon Lakes Drive and will go into Mackenzie Park.

Beginning at 10:30am, there will be music and different events at Mackenzie Park for people to enjoy.

At 10:00 p.m. the fireworks extravaganza will begin in Mackenzie Park for all to enjoy. Get more information about parking, admission, and the list of the days events on the 4th on Broadway website.

The Wolfforth Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will celebrate their annual 4th on the 5th Celebration in Patterson Park on July 5 beginning at 6:00 p.m. There will be live music, food trucks, and weather permitting fireworks when the sun goes down.

It's a full weekend of celebrations around Lubbock!
