Award-Winning Lubbock Filmmaker Seeking Funds to Complete New Movie, ‘Dream With Me’
I should be upfront and say that I am a fan of local filmmaker Jonathan Seaborn. And not just because he let me be in one of his documentaries, Best Little Horror House In Texas (follow the link to watch the entire film for free!).
Jonathan is the recipient of a Lonestar Emmy award for his work on Put Me To Suffering, a film written and directed by another incredible Lubbock talent Paul Allen Hunton. His camera work is absolutely beautiful, and Jonathan has an uncanny knack at putting his subjects at ease.
Jonathan and Paul are working on a new project, Dream With Me, which is "a documentary about one DACA recipient's fight for recognition in the country she considers home."
Saba is of Pakistani decent and was granted a proper visa as her grandfather, an American citizen, was her sponsor. After her grandfather passed away, she was no longer sponsored, and it's unsafe for her family to return to Pakistan.
