‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot Brings Back Adam Lamberg as Gordo
Lizzie McGuire fans can now rest easy: Gordo will be making his return to the beloved sitcom's reboot on Disney+! This is truly what dreams are made of.
Disney revealed the big news via a video featuring Hilary Duff and Adam Lamberg. "Wait, wait, wait," Lamberg interrupted Duff speaking about the cast. "The band's not complete without me... Gordo's back," he exclaimed.
"Gordo was an essential piece of the puzzle to what made the original Lizzie McGuire so authentic and beloved," Duff said in a press release. "I couldn't imagine the series without him. I can't wait for fans to see what he's up to 15 years later and how he fits into Lizzie's adult world."
Duff also shared a snapshot of her and Lamberg on her Instagram account and even poked fun at her character's legendary line. "I [feel] so basic saying something that's been shouted at me almost my whole life buuuut......hey now, hey now," she captioned the photo.
So far original cast members Duff, Lamberg, Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine and Jake Thomas have confirmed to return for the revival. The upcoming series has already begun filming. The reboot will tell the story of a 30-year-old McGuire living in New York City.
