Littlefield Police Officer Sued for Wrongful Death
Littlefield Police Officer Steven Farley has been sued by the father of Angel Ulloa, a man who was shot in killed back in March of 2018 by Farley.
Police were initially called to the Our Place Community Center in Littlefield, where Ulloa was armed with a knife. Allegedly, Ulloa had stabbed a 75-year-old woman repeatedly.
KAMC News reports that Ulloa ran away from the community center but was found nearby by police.
When Ulloa refused to drop the knife, he was shot twice from behind by Officer Farley and/or a second officer.
The lawsuit claims that Ulloa posed no actual and imminent threat to the safety of other citizens or the LPD officers.”
The lawsuit also claims that the gunshot was unreasonable and a violation of Ulloa's 4th, 5th and 14th Amendment rights.
A Lamb County grand jury cleared Farley of any criminal wrongdoing back in 2018.
