Is Lady Gaga’s Next Album a Sequel to ‘ARTPOP’?
Is Lady Gaga angling for more applause? Her forthcoming sixth studio album could be a sequel to Artpop, if her longtime producer's recent Instagram post is any indication.
In a new photo uploaded to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Gaga's 2013 album, DJ White Shadow reminisced over the recording of Artpop, and hinted that her next could follow in the LP's footsteps.
"4 years ago I put out a record called ARTPOP with @ladygaga," he noted. "I could write a book about it, maybe one day I will...I am so grateful for this record because it taught me a lot. I made some friends that have changed my life forever in the halls where this record was recorded, whom I love so incredibly deeply. For all her flaws, strangeness and beauty, I thank you ARTPOP for the lessons learned and the gifts you gave. Happy 4th Birthday. I can’t wait to introduce you to your little sister. #LG6"
Gaga told Entertainment Weekly in August that she's already at work on the new LP, and said she's allowing herself the time to perfect her craft.
“I’ve started writing,” she said. “I have a lot of ideas and a lot of things I want to create, so you’ll see in a bit. I need some time to create.”
