Susan G. Komen Lubbock has announced their 8th annual Laugh For The Cure. John Crist will headline this year February 11th at the Civic Center.

I went to the show last year and had a blast. The comedians are truly funny and all of the extras involved make it a whole fun filled evening. There are silent auctions, live auctions, a raffle and 2 comedians taking the stage for a family night of comedy. Yes these comedians are PG so you can bring the kids. They may not get the jokes, but you can bring them.

Komen Lubbock Area Announces 8th Annual Laugh for the Cure® Comedy show and live and silent auctions on Feb. 11 to benefit local community.

LUBBOCK—The only comedy show on the South Plains to feature nationally touring comedians returns to the Hub City on Thursday, Feb. 11. The Lubbock Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen® will host its annual fundraiser, Laugh for the Cure®, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theatre. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. The comedy show begins at 6:30 p.m., with a live auction and raffle drawing at intermission.

Headlining the show this year will be John Crist, a regional finalist in Comedy Central’s Up Next competition. Returning to the Hub City and opening the show will be Derrick Tennant. Crist and Tennant will bring to the stage unique humor based on their life experiences for this PG-rated event. Three tickets prices are available: $40 VIP tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres, preferred seating, and a gift; $30 tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres and general seating; and $20 tickets include general seating.

Additionally, three raffle ticket drawings will take place that evening for the following prizes.

• Ground beef – 20 lbs. a month for one year.

• Ribeyes – two premium-aged ribeyes a month for one year.

• Half Prime Rib – smoked, seasoned, aged and ready to eat.

Tickets are $10 each or 4 tickets for $30. Raffle prizes are once again generously donated by Raider Red Meats. Auction items have been generously donated by businesses and individuals. Show and raffle tickets are on sale now at www.komenlubbock.org or by calling 806-698-1900. All proceeds from will benefit Komen Lubbock Area.
