Katie Holmes to Guest Star as Slutty Pumpkin on ‘How I Met Your Mother’

Katie Holmes will appear on a special Halloween edition of ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ joining a long list of female personalities who have guest starred on the CBS sitcom.

Holmes will be playing the Slutty Pumpkin, a character referenced during ‘HIMYM’s’ first season when Ted talked about meeting her at a Halloween party, developing a crush on her, and then losing track of her. The Slutty Pumpkin was never shown on screen.

Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lopez, Mandy Moore, Amanda Peet, Nicole Scherzinger, Laura Prepon and Danica McKellar have all previously appeared on ‘HIMYM,’ which is entering its seventh season.
