Jeffrey Tambor: ‘Arrested Development’ Movie Is Happening
GOB, Buster, George Michael and the rest of the 'Arrested Development' gang are headed for the big screen.
While promoting his new film 'Lucky', Jeffrey Tambor, who played the Bluth family patriarch George Sr. on the critically acclaimed but lowly-rated TV show, gave what has been so far the clearest indication that an AD movie is a go.
Before reporters even asked, Tambor declared that an 'Arrested Development' movie was being made: "It's all going straight, everyone's on board, I know they're writing."
In February, the show's creator Mitchel Hurwitz explained that a film was being developed, but he didn't want to make any guarantees because "I don't like to toy with the affections of our fans."
The television version of 'Arrested Development' was cancelled by Fox in 2006 after three seasons.
