The Lubbock Police Department is redoubling efforts to locate missing and endangered Texas Tech student Jeffrey Hargrove.

Wednesday, police released a missing persons poster for the 33-year-old Florida man on their Facebook page and once again asked the public for its help.

According to Hargrove's family, he may be in danger. His mother, Diane Barrs, reported him missing Monday. The last time she spoke with her son was Saturday night. Hargrove was at the Overton Hotel following Texas Tech's football game against Texas and told his mother he was going across the street to eat dinner at Nick's Sports Bar. That was around 8 p.m. in the evening.

"For Jeff to do this is so unlike him," said Barrs (quote via Everything Lubbock). "He would never do it."

Barrs added that her entire family is "a wreck" over Hargrove's disappearance and that she can't eat or sleep. Hargrove's family and friends are currently in Lubbock attempting to locate the missing student.

Hargrove is six-feet tall, weighs 180 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about Hargrove's whereabouts can contact the Lubbock Police Department's Investigation Services Bureau at 806-775-2865 or the Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
