SportsCenter Highlighted The El Paso Chihuahua’s Bootmaker Night For Minor League Promo Of The Week

El Paso's very own Chihuahuas baseball team just got a huge shoutout on SportsCenter as the Minor League Promotion of the Week!

Not only did SportsCenters Matt Barrie and Keiana Martin give a national shoutout to the El Paso Chihuahuas for their Lucchese Bootmakers Night happening July 31st -- They did so while sporting the iconic merch unveiled for last years first Bootmakers Night! Check out this clip where Matt Barrie breaks down the design and the reason for the evening!

If you know me, you know I LOVE a good hat and it made my El Paso Soul happy to see Keiana Martin sporting my favorite hat of all time on SportsCenter! You may have also heard her mention that Bootmakers Night is all about honoring an El Paso legacy. Specifically our history with legendary bootmakers and the fact that El Paso is the boot making capital of Texas but is also widely recognized as the boot making capital of the WORLD as well.

April 2025 was the first, wildly successful Bootmakers Night where Chihuahuas fans went crazy for the newest merchandise and the cool new logo! There is a good chance that Southwest University Park will be PACKED on July 31st with all the people who didn't get their merch last year.
