Pre - season football has begun, the regular season is coming on fast and Texas will, again, NOT be hosting the Super Bowl in February. Why no love for Texas?

Throughout its history, the NFL has played 59 Super Bowl games which have been held all over the USA. Texas has only 4 to its credit while Florida holds the lead at 16.

New Orleans has 11 to its credit. The Big Easy has only 1 team and 1 ("bowl" quality), stadium but they're in double digits? Must be all the boobs ... errrr ... beads.

The next 3 Super Bowl games are set to take place in California, (twice), then Georgia.

The 2nd biggest state ... with 2 NFL teams no less ... has Only Hosted 4 games

Texas' next shot won't be until 2029 and we may not get one then, only time will tell. WTH? Texas has, (at least), 2, Super Bowl worthy, stadiums; as well as 2 potential Super Bowl teams. (Hey - it could happen. Maybe. Ok ... big time maybe.)

Point being, we have stadiums, mega airports, enough infrastructure and a ton of stuff to do before and after gameday. Yet, we get dissed  while certain other states hog all the bowls - The top 3 being Florida, (16), Cali, (13) and Louisiana. (11) See 'em all here.

California Gets Even Farther Ahead

California currently has 13 but that will change to 15 after Super Bowl's 60 and 61. Since Californians seem to be migrating to Texas in droves, maybe now we'll start racking up more Super Bowls.  For now, the NFL has shown Texas about as much Super Bowl love as Super Bowl half time shows have shown rock music.

Who Should Perform at the Next Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Super Bowl 58 is now behind us, and while we want to give the champions some time to breathe, we’re already looking ahead to next year’s event. We took to our social media and asked Mainers who they would like to see perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans next year.
