Don't Expect Good Sweet Tea Outside The South

Growing up in Texas, I didn’t realize how important sweet tea is to our Southern culture until I traveled outside the state.  For example, the first time I had ever traveled to California, I ordered a sweet tea with my lunch.  Instead of the expected traditional sweet iced tea, I received a small cup of hot tea!  Perhaps I was a bit naive for thinking California could get sweet tea right, but don't judge me.

Where To Get Great Sweet Tea in Midland-Odessa

Let's be honest, not all sweet teas are made equal.  Realistically, the basis of what makes sweet tea delicious is subjective; however, in my opinion, it is a good balance of flavor to water ratio.  Meaning, it isn't too potent or too watered-down.  The sweetness also needs to be just right, not too sweet, and not too unsweet.  Personally, to me, unsweet tea is unacceptable.
