Throughout life, we all dream of potentially owning a business following working there for a period of time. While that my never happen, it's nice to think about right? But for woman in Killeen, Texas, that dream became a reality.

Per KXXV, Henderson's has been around for a long time in Killeen. Over the years, plenty of customers have gone through the doors looking to dine in. They also talk with the workers in the eatery as well.

For one waitress, Michelle Barnett, it's been a 35 year journey of employment at the restaurant. Speaking about her job at Henderson's:

“The crew we work with here is all family… they work with me every day... they struggle with me every day and we all complain at times, but we get it done."

But for Barnett, the time has come for her to continue her journey with the eatery, but now as the new owner.

How Does Barnett Feel About Becoming The New Owner?

When Barnett was interviewed by KXXV, someone stated their love for Barnett, showing that the business already has adjusted to having her oversee things. In addition to the positive feedback, Barnett is looking to the past, for Jerry Henderson's influence:

“We’re already starting to bring back some of his menu and I’m trying to get some of his family pictures back in here because he was a big part of this, and he still is.”
