TikTok Influencer Saves Over 700 Cats in Texas After Viral Video
If you have ever been on TikTok or even YouTube, you have probably seen the videos from Spencer of SB Mowing. Typically, the videos show Spencer and SB Mowing finding lawns that are really overgrown and cleaning up the property for free. If you are someone who appreciates good lawn care or nice charitable acts, the videos are pretty awesome.
So what does mowing have to do with cats?
SB Mowing is based in Kansas, but he travels to South Texas in the winter and this past February, Spencer decided to mow a lawn for free in Corpus Christi according to MySanAntonio.com.

During the mowing and cleaning up of the property, Spencer found an injured cat that had mad its home in the tall weeds of the lawn. According to the story, the cat had multiple wounds and had an infected abscess. The TikTok influencer reached out to multiple places attempting to find help for the cat, only one accepted the injured cat, Edgar and Ivy's Pet Sanctuary.
Spencer reportedly gave the organization a $100 donation and started a GoFundMe page for the organization that had began to run out of money. Well, like just about everything SB Mowing does on TikTok where where they have 10 million followers, the story went viral.
According to MySanAntonio.com, the GoFundMe took in over $190,000 worth of donations. They also got four truckloads of items from their Amazon Wishlist donated to them.
Since the donation, over 700 cats have been rescued thanks to the donations. And the people at Edgar and Ivy's hope to add to that total the rest of the year.
