Are you ready for a vacation? Ask any number of people that question and the answer is probably "yes". Vacations are good, taking time away from work and the stress of everyday life is healthy. Of course most Americans don't take as much time off as they are allowed to take for various reasons. The price of many vacations being just one barrier to getting out of town.

But that doesn't stop us from looking and researching where our next vacation might be. New research has revealed the most searched for travel destinations in each state and you might be surprised at which travel destination came in first in Texas.

According to Places To Travel which analyzed Google Trends data to come up with the top travel destinations for each state, Texans are ready to say "Aloha" along with eight other states that made Hawaii their most searched for destination.

Texans are dreaming and using Google to search about Hawaiian vacations according to the research as are people in California, New Jersey, Washington, and Alabama. Overall, Hawaii was the second most searched travel destination in the United States with the Caribbean coming in third.

The most popular travel destination overall? Pulling just ahead of Hawaii with 10 states choosing this location, Italy.
