One of Lubbock's favorite BBQ restaurants recently announced a big change on social media, and it's a change that I think a lot of people are going to like. If you've ever been hungry for fantastic BBQ at night, I've got some great news for you.

The Shack BBQ, located at 2309 N. Frankford Avenue is now open late Wednesday through Sunday. That means you will be able to get delicious BBQ Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 10pm. The Shack is also open for lunch on Tuesday's from 11am to 3pm.

Not only will The Shack BBQ be open late Wednesday through Sunday for dinner. They will also have servers and a complimentary bar from 4pm to 10pm Wednesday through Sunday. Yes, you read that correctly. A complimentary bar will be available. That includes beer, wine, and wine based drinks.

Personally, I think this is a great idea. There have been many times when I've wanted to grab some BBQ at night and now that will be an option. Plus with more homes popping up in the area and the growth of communities like Shallowater, a dinner location on North Frankford is going to be welcomed by people. I know I'll be swinging by even more than I do now.

So be sure to show support for one our great local businesses that is actually expanding hours and trying something new. It's not always an easy thing to do, but I think this is a great idea for those who love BBQ and just for that area of Lubbock.
